The FIFA World Cup will generate a movement in the Brazilian economy, the country hosting the sports event of 183,200 million reais (€ 79 700 million), according to the government of the country.
According to estimates by the Brazilian Executive, 47,500 million reais (€ 20,800 million) come from direct impacts, while 135,700 million reais (€ 59 400 million) remaining would be the result of indirect impacts.
Investments in infrastructure will involve a total of 33,000 million reais (14,400 million euros). These investments would aim to meet the demands of the tourism of the World Cup. In this regard, the government estimated the country's entry about 600,000 foreigners during the 30 days of competition.
Moreover, the Brazilian government considers that the event will reinforce "conclusively" the labor market. Expectations of job indicate that the World Cup will create over 700,000 jobs between permanent and temporary.
In addition, the power consumption of the Brazilian families will grow in the international competition and is expected to service consumption goods increase almost 5,000 million reais (2,100 million), say from the Government.
